The therapists at Vector feel that a progressive exercise program is vital to the recovery of most all our clients. We utilize strengthening equipment, free weights, resistive bands, balance boards, foam rolls, and gym balls, as well as mat work involving stretching and strengthening. We provide home exercise programs both during and after therapy is completed so that the client will be better able to handle life activities. We also provide gait training to a diverse population including those recovering from stroke, lower extremity fractures, surgeries, ankle sprains, and people with balance problems and difficulty walking due to weakness. The therapist analyzes the client’s initial gait pattern, determines the faulty mechanics/muscle imbalances and trains him or her in a more appropriate pattern to enhance stability. Appropriate assistive devices such as canes, crutches and walkers are prescribed as indicated.
Vector’s experienced therapists provide treatment options for all joint replacements, hip resurfacing, internal fixations, fractures, sprains, strains, spine surgeries, and hernia repair. They also deal with work-related injuries, both acute and from repetitive strain and poor ergonomics. In addition, athletes, dancers, and musicians find help at Vector, as well as hikers and even people who need more exercise. Many of Vector’s clients come to therapy with complex medical histories and so receive individual care based on their particular needs. Teenagers and those in their 90’s http://www.achaten-suisse.com/ all find the help they need as well as learning better ways to take care of themselves once therapy is over.
